595 days ago 724 days ago 174 times Megan Hartmann 24 Female Megan Hartmann joined the Dragonflies Contemporary Belly Dance Company in 2007 and was recently named assistant director. Through this group, Megan found her two most influential teachers: Kandice Grossman and Suhaila Salimpour. Thanks to their invaluable direction, Megan became Level I certified in the Suhaila Salimpour format July 2008 and was a finalist at the Bellydance Superstars open auditions in Los Angeles in May 2008. Megan has studied with many other esteemed belly dance instructors, including Suhaila Salimpour, Rachel Brice, Kami Liddle, Zoe Jakes, Samantha Hasthorpe, Moria, Jillina, and Petite Jamilla. She has performed in Los Angeles, Chicago, St. Louis, and all over the Midwest. Megan draws on her knowledge of ballet, jazz, modern, hip-hop, lyrical dance, and theatrical fusion to create unique choreographies that always return to the solid foundation of the Suhaila format.
